Salary Grade: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide veterinary care for regulated animals at MSU. Minimum Qualifications: Education: DVM Veterinary Medicine Preferred Qualifications: Successful completion of an ACLAM recognized training program in laboratory animal medicine. Demonstrated interest and success in performing research, and a desire to work in a research and teaching environment. Experience working with a wide range of species, including traditional laboratory animals, large animals, fish and fowl. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Technical and professional knowledge and skills such as veterinary medicine and surgery, population management, infection control, and diagnostic procedures.
