Department: Office of the Provost Web Announcement: Program Support Specialist Position is open to student wage and non-student wage candidates The George Mason University's Office of Research Integrity & Assurance (ORIA) office, and the National Center for Biodefense and Infectious Diseases (NCBID) within the College of Science invites applicants for the position of Program Support Specialist. The Program Support Specialist reports directly to the Animal Facility Supervisor of ORIA. Please note that the position is Part-Time and hours worked per week will not exceed 20 hours. Responsibilities: The Program Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the animal husbandry program within the George Mason University Biomedical Research Laboratory (BRL) at the Prince William campus. The Program Support Specialist will assist primarily in the Biosafety Level 2 and Biosafety Level 3 vivarium operations.
Required Qualifications: Our ideal candidate would be an individual committed to the Program Support Specialist role on a continuing basis, throughout the academic year and summer months. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate the ability to take initiative and ability to work independently. Candidates should be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
