![]() Life Science Research Professional 1 Stanford University Grade: E FTE: 100% The Sebastiano/Weinacht Laboratory has an opening for a highly motivated and collaborative Life Science Research Professional (LSRP1) with an interest in development of thymus, immunity and stem cell biology. Successful candidates will join the Pediatric Division of Stem Cell Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University, School of Medicine. The laboratory uses induced pluripotent stem cells from healthy individuals and patients with 22q11 syndrome to model human disease. The LSRP will be a member of the research team that is generating a cellular model for recapitulating thymic development in vitro and is dissecting the mechanistic basis of the thymic developmental defects in 22q11 syndrome. The LSRP will learn to generate, characterize and maintain induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs), acquire expertise in targeted differentiation techniques and murine models. Candidates with outstanding personal initiative as well as skills in stem cell biology/immunology/bioinformatics or related fields are encouraged to apply.
