Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of standard operating procedures and processes related to animal facility and husbandry.
  • Manages the daily operations of the animal facility to include animal health checks, husbandry services, research support services, and staff work scheduling.
  • Supports all aspects of maintaining laboratory animals in compliance with PHS Policy, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, AAALAC International and all local, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Laboratory Animal Technologist
  • Certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science at the Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) level
  • Certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science at the Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) level
