Research Technician - In Vivo

Job Responsibilities

• Job Responsibilities

  · Assist with the establishment and maintenance of mouse cancer models (e.g. by injection or minor / major surgery).

  · Build of syngeneic, xenograft, PDX and orthotopic mouse cancer models

  · Perform mouse in vivo animal procedures, including dosing animals by various routes (e.g. oral, intravenous, intraperitoneal, etc), measuring tumors by calipers, non-invasive imaging (bioluminescent imaging)

  · Perform efficacy and tolerability testing in mouse cancer models

  · Breeding and genotyping of GEMMs

  · Animal health monitoring

  · Mouse necropsy and tissue collection

  · Routine handling, restraint, identification (including ear notching, tagging, tattooing, and toe clipping) and sexing of common laboratory animals. Ability to distinguish various common laboratory animal strains in accordance with standardized genetic nomenclature and phenotype identification.

  · Cell culturing techniques and subcutaneous implantation of cell and tumor grafts

  · Data recording, data analysis, reporting and interpretation

  · Contribute to overall vivarium organization and IACUC protoc

Minimum Qualifications

· BS in biological sciences or equivalent

· LAT certification preferred

· 1-2 year research experience in academic and/or pharmaceutical/biotech environment preferred

· Ability to work in a team environment
