Staff Veterinarian

Sinclair Research Center is a privately owned, AAALAC accredited, biomedical research facility. Sinclair offers specialty research services in a large range of species encompassing most categories of applied human and veterinary medicine. Our uniqueness includes our broad experience, the availability of multiple animal models, and the largest herds of miniature swine in the US. Sinclair is strongly committed to animal welfare and is seeking a veterinarian to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly driven veterinarian who will support and strengthen Sinclair’s animal care program as well as working with researchers to produce high quality study results.

Position responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with veterinary technicians to provide daily veterinary care for various species including swine, sheep, NHPs, dogs, rabbits, and rodents.
• Assist in the oversight of heard health.
• Assist research staff in study conduct, such as collecting samples, performing procedures, and collecting data.
• Perform physical exams and ensure proper paperwork for shipment and receipt of animals.
• Provide veterinary consultation to research staff and contribute to animal model design.
• IACUC review of animal use protocols and facilities.
• Data entry, verification, handling, and documentation in accordance with Study protocols and SOPs.
• Adherence to GLP and USDA regulations.
• Serve as a resource to operations staff and management.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned to support the Attending Veterinarian and the Animal Care and Use Program.
