Project Manager 3

•    Oversees consistent practices of general company and customer’s safety policies and procedures.  Oversees and manages supervisors and staff to ensure all aspects of the Statement of Work are properly fulfilled.  
•    Reviews and analyzes operational needs and makes recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of animal care and all services provided by the LARC staff. 
•    Oversees the implementation of the training plan, technical trainer and supervisors’ development of course content and materials for training and continuing education of the staff to achieve AALAS certification.  
•    Develops, writes and implements standard operating procedures for the care and enrichment of laboratory animals and the operation of the facility. 
•    Design, plan, organize, and execute disaster preparedness documentation and emergency procedures. 
•    Coordinates or monitors the movement or traffic patterns of people and animals throughout the facility with regard to health status and types of animals.
•    Conducts or participates in interviews of applicants for open positions. 
•    Monitors performance of employees and conducts periodic performance evaluations.  •    Provides data entry/data base report generation for computerized systems which monitor facility internal environmental parameters, security, or other animal facility monitoring and management requirements.
•    Prepares and submits required written records, charts, logs and inventories.  
•    Oversees and/or schedules the maintenance of the facility and all animal care equipment through facility supervisors and animal care staff. 
•    Establishes specifications for recommendations for the selection and purchase of animal care related equipment.
•    Interacts with client representatives to facilitate the resolution of problems related to the allocation of space, use of equipment, efficient use of personnel, diagnosis of and control of disease, provisions of animal care and adequate veterinary care.
