About the Position:
The Department of Biological Science is dedicated to educating the individual student using active-learning, inquiry-based approaches. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Animal Care Facility Specialist (Instructional Support Technician III). The Animal Care Facility Specialist (Instructional Support Technician III) will oversee all animal room activities for both the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (Department of Biological Science and Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry) and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (Department of Psychology) in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations with oversight of animal care and use. Coordinates animal use in all teaching and research applications and will advise faculty and research students (both graduate and undergraduate) in all matters relevant to proper animal care and use. Must be certified by the Animal Technician Certification Board of American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) as a 'Laboratory Animal Technologist
