The Suminski/Lake Laboratory within the Department of Neurological Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, collaborative individual to join our team. We are searching for a Research Coordinator to support our growing lab focused on understanding the mechanisms of neuromodulation therapies. The position is directly involved in the conduct of vital research related to a milestone driven project grant and requires a significant amount of animal care in the form of behavioral training.

• 50% Assists with conducting experiments or interviews, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting results according to established protocols
• 10% Assists in composing and organizing research reports and manuscripts to provide updates on unit objectives
• 10% Schedules logistics and secures resources for research supplies, equipment, and facilities
• 5% Tracks supply and equipment inventory levels and places replenishment orders
• 15% Maintains organization of research records according to established policies and procedures
• 10% Trains and supervises undergraduate students in animal handling, laboratory practices, and maintenance of research records.

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree

-At least 1 year of experience in preclinical neuromodulation research, training laboratory animals (rodents and non-human primates) in behavioral paradigms, laboratory animal surgery, and analysis of neural and behavioral data preferred
