The University of Maryland, College Park is hiring an Animal Import/Export Coordinator to support its evolving animal care and use program. Working independently with minimal supervision, the Animal Import/Export Coordinator is a key position within the Department of Laboratory Animal Resources. The Animal Import/Export Coordinator will manage the procurement, import and export of laboratory animals following applicable protocols and standard operating procedures, maintain a database for tracking animals, perform all activities related to the animal sentinel program, coordinate and provide animal care services and provide technical support for research animals, assist with training programs, provide veterinary supportive care as directed by a veterinarian, and conduct other tasks
