Responsibilities Responsible for the management and development of the animal care technicians to ensure they are providing quality animal care for all research animals. Ensures that all animal care technicians are properly trained in all aspects of their position. Assumes overall responsibility among the animal care technicians for the weekly routine. Develops, tests and revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with the Quality Management System. Assesses the need for capital equipment/improvements, supplies/services, and takes appropriate action within budgetary parameters. Assists in the development of the MCR Quality metrics each quarter and assists with yearly QMS plans. Works directly with the prin
