Department OverviewA full time position is available in a Cell Biology lab to study the molecular basis of the human disease, hereditary hemochromatosis. The Research Assistant 2 provides a full range of support, with minimal supervision, in a research laboratory. Must be able to prioritize a variety of projects, able to work effectively with the principal investigator, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, and able to independently solve problems. Position requires that personnel perform animal procedures including breeding mice, injections, health checks, oral gavage, surgery, tissue harvest, and tissue preparation following necropsy and experience in histology.
