Job Summary The Primate Animal Research Technician will be responsible for:
Daily observation
Research medication dosing
Biological sampling (blood draws)
Assisting with bone marrow aspiration, CSF collection, and simple biopsies
Supporting Surgical and post-operative, and maintaining tether systems
Daily communication with the team regarding animal status and project progress
Maintaining research and medical records
Welfare and compliance monitoring
To qualify, you must have:
A minimum of high school level of education is required. An Associates degree in Biological or animal sciences is preferred
A minimum of two years of experience working with animals in a research or clinical setting is required
Certification with America Association for Laboratory Animal Science at ALAT or LAT level preferred
CVT/RVT/LVT licensure is preferred
