The Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a full-time Senior Technician to join the Laboratory for Mucosal Immunology in New York City. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov, the Senior Technician will be responsible for management of a laboratory mouse colony and will perform experiments in the field of microbiota and mucosal immunology.

Maintenance and organization of the laboratory animal colony
Animal husbandry, sample collection, genotyping
Assist lab members in performing experiments
Maintain detailed records
Participate in general lab organization

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s Degree and 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience
Significant research experience with laboratory mice
Solid knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and techniques
Other Requirements
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to maintain detailed laboratory records
