An Assistant Research Scientist (Part-time) position is available to conduct experiments on central auditory system anatomy and perceptual processing in laboratory animals. The duties include colony maintenance, behavioral training, cranial surgery with electrode implantation, anatomical processing of brain tissue, and fluorescence microscopy. The candidate will participate actively in developing and implementing new approved procedures, or modifying existing protocols and procedures. The position also calls for collaborating with lab members on different projects, contributing to the organization of the lab and providing support for various aspects of experimental research.
