The University of Maryland, College Park is hiring a Facility Veterinarian to support its evolving animal care and use program. The Facility Veterinarian provides professional veterinary care and maintenance of research animals, trains animal care and research personnel, and may serve as acting University Attending Veterinarian in his/her absence. The position also performs quality assurance for campus animal facilities; serves as an alternate member of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC); reviews (pre- and post- review) animal use protocols as needed; and assists investigators in the development of their research protocols.
