Residency in Laboratory Animal Medicine

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Comparative Medicine has an immediate opening for a Laboratory Animal Medicine resident (post-doctoral training). Successful completion of this 3-year program will satisfy in part the requirements leading to eligibility for board certification by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM). The training program consists of rotations and clinical responsibility in an AAALAC accredited program, teaching, technician training, and facility management. Trainees accepted into the program may also enroll in the graduate degree program leading to the Master of Science in Epidemiology. Applicants wishing to pursue the MS degree must apply for admission to the College of Graduate Health Sciences. Research opportunities are available during the program. Clinical, research and graduate training can be used toward eligibility for certification by ACLAM.
