This position reports to the Laboratory Animal Resources (LAR) Director/Attending Veterinarian and provides administrative and programmatic support to the Florida State University (FSU) Animal Care and Use Committee (ACUC). This is a key position working to ensure that animal research at the University is conducted in accordance with federal regulations and university policies.

Salary: The minimum starting salary for this position is $56,000. However, the actual salary will be based on the selected candidate's skills, experience and education

A bachelor's degree and two years of work experience in laboratory animal science, IACUC, or research administration; or Post-High School education equivalent and six years of work experience in laboratory animal science, IACUC, or research administration.
Certified Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA) certification. An incumbent without certification must achieve within six months of eligibility.

Familiarity with Huron Research Suite
Prior work experience in an academic Laboratory Animal Care and Use Program
