The Small and Large Animal Surgeon will be primarily responsible for conducting in vivo  surgical procedures, as well as collecting and analyzing data from these examinations.

The primary responsibility for this position is to generate high-quality data from a variety of in vivo procedures in many species, focusing on the conduct of cardiovascular safety pharmacology and toxicology studies. Previous in vivo surgery experience is a must, as well as a desire to conduct novel procedures as well as established models within cardiovascular research.

Training may be provided based on previous experience.

• B.S. in biomedical field with surgical experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and safety pharmacology studies used to investigate potential cardiac liabilities
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize moderately complex data sets
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Attention to accuracy and detail
