Multiple postdoctoral scholar, staff scientist, and graduate student researcher positions with competitive salaries and benefits are available immediately in the Dr. Changcheng Zhou Lab at the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Zhou's research program focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. We are currently investigating several important signaling pathways in the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic disease including atherosclerosis, obesity, and diabetes. Dr. Zhou also has a successful training record and his former trainees have secured independent faculty positions and pharmaceutical/biotech industry positions in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Small laboratory animal models, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques are the main research approaches for these studies. For postdoctoral positions, candidates should have a doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or related field, and strong background in cell culture, biochemical and molecular biology techniques, and small animal model systems.
