The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The CCTI collaborates closely with renowned scientists and physicians across multiple departments at CUIMC spanning research in cancers, cancer therapy, immunology, autoimmunity, transplantation, inflammation, infectious diseases, and others.
Working with a surgical PI and post-doctoral fellows, the technician will responsible for animal care and immunologic assays, and other projects as appropriate.
Responsibilities
Assist with operation and maintenance of research laboratory
Prepare samples and reagents
Assist in immunological assay development and optimization
Provide supervised assistance with animal care and surgical procedures.
The technician will support the following ongoing federally-funded projects:
Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis on chemistry, biology, physics, or related science plus one year of related experience or equivalent in training and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in lab research, especially working with immunological assays such as ELISA, flow cytometry, PCR, or cell culture assays
An interest in medicine
Other Requirements
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made
Participation in the medical surveillance program
Position will involve work with laboratory animals
Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
