The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

Key responsibilities include collaboration with the lab manager to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the research laboratory; preparation of samples and reagents; assistance in immunological assay development and optimization; supervised assistance with animal treatments, and supervised assistance with surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
Process blood samples, prepare cell culture, and perform immunological assays.
Assist the post-doctoral fellows in conducting the animal and/or laboratory experiments.
Perform animal and/or laboratory experiments according to SOPs and regulatory protocols.
Prepare and manage reagents and medications, and perform reagent validation, titration, and QC.
Maintain a detailed, up-to-date, and accurate record of samples, reagents, and instrument tuning and QC.
Maintain and organize inventory, place orders, and prepare service bills.
Perform routine data processing and data QC tasks and assist with data analysis.
Assist in the development of new assays, methods, and reagents.
Maintain scientific standards and safe laboratory practices.
Maintain a laboratory/electronic notebook or records related to tasks.
Contribute to building a culture that embraces scientific excellence, integrity, efficiency, teamwork, and continuous learning and improvement.
Communicate effectively with PI and team members.
Perform other related duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory and research projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training and experience
Must be a quick learner and comfortable with new technologies
Ability to follow the oral and written instructions/protocols
Effective communication, time management and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and quality
Problem identification and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a laboratory or on a research team
Interest in medicine
Other Requirements
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made
Participation in the medical surveillance program
Ability to work with laboratory animals
Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
