Research Associate 1 to work in a research laboratory executing experiments for projects related to basic, translational and cancer research under the supervision of PI; performs routine experimental procedures on laboratory animals (mice) including processing of specimens, genotyping of transgenic mice models and animal husbandry; collects, analyzes and evaluates research data using flowcytometry, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry; assists PI in the preparation of materials for manuscripts, articles, abstracts and research reports for presentation and publication in peer reviewed journals; ensures laboratory compliance with radiation, biohazard and other university regulations, including, but not limited to record keeping, maintaining lab notebooks and proper disposal and maintenance of regulated materials; sets up, operates and maintains laboratory equipment; organizes, maintains and orders laboratory supplies; performs other duties as assigned.
