The clinical veterinarian functions as an integral member of the KU-Lawrence Animal Care Unit leadership team.  The incumbent provides preventative, clinical, and surgical care to a variety of laboratory animal species.  The incumbent works closely and interacts with the ACU director, ACU facility manager, ACU facility supervisor, and IACUC to ensure efficient operation of the KU-Lawrence Animal Care and Use Program in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.    The responsibilities of this position include: Direct Veterinary Care (50%)Provide evidence-based preventative, clinical, and surgical care to laboratory animals in accordance with current veterinary medical standards.  Prepare and maintain accurate records detailing diagnostic d
