Job Description: Under direct supervision from Laboratory Animal Technician 1 or higher-level supervisor, cleans animals & animal areas; feeds & waters animals; assists in handling & recording condition of animals; may dispose of diseased animals. Established pattern of good work habits and performance with good interpersonal skills. Cleans animal caging and animal areas to include research areas, feed rooms and when necessary, includes sterilizing, disinfecting, pest control and bottle washing. Assist in feeding and watering animals. Assists students, doctors and technicians in handling of animals; assist in restraining and administering simple medication and keeping records of animal's condition when assigned.
