The Grant Administrator serves as the liaison between the CAES and the Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) to coordinate activities related to identifying grant opportunities, developing grant budgets, reviewing grant proposals for compliance with guidelines, and submitting proposals to various funding agencies.

With programs and expertise in such areas as biotechnology, agricultural and biosystems engineering, natural resources management, waste management, and food microbiology, the A&T College of Agriculture grows concurrently with the demand for qualified graduates.
Our four academic departments are the Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education; the Department of Animal Sciences; the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences; and the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design.
Within these departments, students will find a myriad of opportunities for classroom learning, research and field work.
Through our Agricultural Research Program and our Cooperative Extension Program, we are able to research issues of importance to North Carolina and also provide research-based outreach training to citizens across the state and around the world.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of federal rules and regulations related to grants and contracts, understanding of the proposal submission process for various sponsoring agencies, ability to exercise judgement, initiative, and discretion, ability to interact with internal and external personnel in a professional manner, and proficiency with computers – databases, spreadsheets, and other office software applications.
Preferred:
Master's Degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
