Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the IACUP Training & Compliance Analyst works closely with the IACUC, Office of Ethics and Compliance management, Office of Research management, veterinarians and veterinary staff and is directly supervised by the IACUP Training and Compliance Supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and integration of ongoing training programs, including but not limited to advancing the scope of the rodent anesthesia and surgical principles training and specialized training in research techniques involving the use of laboratory animals. In addition, the incumbent assures compliance with applicable Federal and state regulations and University policies and procedures by participation in the Post-Approval Monitoring Program through activities such as procedure observations and records reviews to ensure procedures conform to protocols.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
