The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Technician A will provide support for a range of research studies. This role involves conducting experimental protocols on mouse colonies, cell cultures, and purified proteins.
Responsibilities
Genotype mouse colonies.
Purify proteins from bacterial cell cultures and mammalian tissues.
Conduct Western blotting of protein samples.
Perform subcellular fractionation of cellular lysates.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program
One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience
Other Requirements
The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made
Participation in the medical surveillance program
Will work with laboratory animals
Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
