Position Summary

The Technician A will provide support for a range of research studies. This role involves conducting experimental protocols on mouse colonies, cell cultures, and purified proteins.

Responsibilities

• Genotype mouse colonies.
• Purify proteins from bacterial cell cultures and mammalian tissues.
• Conduct Western blotting of protein samples.
• Perform subcellular fractionation of cellular lysates.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program
• One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience

Other Requirements

• The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made
• Participation in the medical surveillance program
  • Will work with laboratory animals
• Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
