Primary duties include assisting in the continuous and smooth operation of the laboratory; conducting biological assays to monitor immune responses in patients undergoing transplantation or CAR-T cell therapies; and assisting in mouse bone marrow transplant studies. The technician will learn and implement a variety of techniques including flow cytometry, cell culture, single-cell sequencing and immunohistochemistry.
Responsibilities
Assist with experiments in cell culture and animal models under supervision.
Maintain a detailed, up-to-date, and accurate record of samples, reagents, instrument
tuning and QC.
Assist in the development of new assays, methods, and reagents.
Perform routine data processing and assist with data analysis.
Order reagents, organize inventory, maintain equipment, and prepare service bills.
Contribute to building a culture that embraces scientific excellence, integrity, efficiency, teamwork, and continuous learning and improvement.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program
One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently as well as part of a team, and work well under pressure.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data management files required.
