Under general supervision and in accordance with written standard operating procedures, performs a variety of advanced technical duties and tasks related to the care, treatment, clinical testing, and research testing of laboratory animals. This includes routine animal husbandry procedures and rodent breeding colony management, recognition of potential disease conditions, routine clinical laboratory tests, standard anesthesia procedures, environmental monitoring procedures, and the administration of medications.
