The Office of Laboratory Animal Care (OLAC) Director and University Attending Veterinarian (UAV) has responsibility for all animals used in research and teaching at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, a land-grant university. OLAC is responsible for the highest standards of animal care, welfare, regulatory compliance, education, training and customer service, extending to the UT Knoxville campus, the UT Institute of Agriculture's College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) , Graduate School of Medicine and AgResearch areas.
