Director, Animal Resource Center and Attending Veterinarian
The Director, Animal Resource Center (ARC) and Attending Veterinarian is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of animal care at Children's Mercy Research Institute to include: animal procurement and transportation, preventive medicine (including quarantine, animal biosecurity and surveillance), clinical care, surgery and perioperative care, anesthesia and analgesia.  The Attending Veterinarian provides guidance to investigators and all personnel involved in the care and use of animals to ensure appropriate husbandry, handling, medical treatment, analgesia, anesthesia and euthanasia.  The Attending Veterinarian will serve as an expert for the Animal Care and Use Program.   Responsibilities: Directs Children's Mercy Research Institute's veterinary care program.
