Postdoctoral Associate (P.I.: Kara Margolis Lab)
One full-time Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the lab of Dr. Kara Margolis in the Department of Molecular Pathobiology at the New York University College of Dentistry.  Dr. Margolis' lab studies the biology of the enteric nervous system (ENS) and the role of the gut in brain-gut axis disorders.  The candidates will work closely with the PI and other lab members in the design and implementation of experiments that use mouse genetic models to investigate the role of ENS and epithelial development in gastrointestinal function, motility, inflammatory bowel disease and mood and behavioral disorders.  These positions require bright, self-motivated and organized individuals who are quick to learn new techniques, and feel comfortable working independently as well as with others.
