Position Summary The Jacob laboratory in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is looking for a laboratory technician to assist with mouse colony management and ongoing research projects performed by undergraduate and graduate students. The candidates’ duties will include management of transgenic mouse colonies such as daily monitoring and census, breeding, weaning and genotyping. Experimental duties include weighing, tumor measurements, DNA electro-vaccination, bleeding, substance administration, immune monitoring and tissue collection. The successful candidate will also assist with general lab management such as maintaining supplies and reagents and coordinating with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) during inspections and for disposal of hazardous waste.
