The Emory University School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a veterinarian to join a well-established, AAALAC-accredited program. Responsibilities involve the comprehensive practice of laboratory animal management and clinical care of large animals, rodents, aquatics, and non-traditional species. The position will include research support, IACUC participation, and didactic and clinical training of laboratory animal veterinary residents. Additional responsibilities will include overseeing our quality assurance (biosecurity) program and diagnostic laboratory and supervising technical staff.
Qualifications: Candidates must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state. Specialty training in laboratory animal medicine and eligibility to sit for the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine board exam are required. Experience or a strong interest in zebrafish care is preferred. Salary, title, and academic appointment will be commensurate with training and experience.
