ClearPoint Neuro is a medical device company with a preclinical services group performing in-life, anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and bioanalysis activities. We work extensively in the neurologic disorder, imaging, and medical device spaces. Our culture is one of agility and places customer service at the forefront. We work collaboratively with groups that span the breadth of biotechnology research. A primary focus for our group is generating data for novel cell, gene, and oncolytic therapies that oftentimes require co-labeling with drug delivery devices. Many of these drugs and devices have no predicate product on the market.
The Research Services Manager plays a vital role in the overall operations of the ClearPoint Neuro preclinical team, with a primary responsibility to lead a team of technicians, organize and perform study-related animal procedures, and manage all resources necessary for completing our studies. This role reports directly to the acting Vice President of Veterinary Medicine and Translational Science and collaborates extensively with our Study Directors, the clinical veterinary team, and the husbandry staff.
This role is expected to act as a thought partner, working with other ClearPoint Neuro leadership members to assure that operations in all departments run smoothly and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
Managing a team of technicians for study-related animal procedures, including, but not limited to in-life biological sample collection, surgery and surgical anesthesia management/support, and necropsy.
Writing and maintaining ClearPoint Neuro SOPs, and ensuring that they are understood and followed by all ClearPoint Neuro staff
Serving as contact point between customers and ClearPoint Neuro staff regarding animal procedure scheduling and execution.
Ensuring that customers are billed accurately and efficiently for services, time, and supplies used for studies.
Manages personnel issues, conflict, and directs team-building program.
Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations, Education, and Experience
Required Education:
Associate degree in Biology or related field
Required Experience:
Five (5) years lab animal care experience.
One (1) year of lead, management or supervisory experience.
Required Certification:
Registered Laboratory Animal Technician (rLAT) obtained within 90 days of placement into position, and
Registered Laboratory Animal Technologist (rLATG) obtained within one (1) year of placement into position
Preferred Licenses, Certifications, Registrations, Education and Experience
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in biological science or related field
Preferred Experience:
Seven (7) years of laboratory animal care experience
Three (3) years of lead, management or supervisory experience.
Preferred Licenses/certificates/registrations:
Registered Laboratory Animal Technologist (rLATG) at placement into position.
