Postdoctoral Training in Laboratory Animal Medicine. The University of Illinois at Chicago, Biologic Resources Laboratory, has one postdoctoral position available for an academically oriented veterinarian interested in acquiring training in laboratory animal medicine. The three-year postdoctoral training program includes clinical and managerial experience in a large, full-service academic animal care program; training in laboratory science and medicine; participating in formal course work and special training in research methodology; and teaching technical and graduate level courses. A two-year program is an option for select candidates that meet eligibility requirements. The program is designed to provide trainees with the didactic and experiential training necessary to prepare for a career in laboratory animal medicine and to obtain ACLAM certification. Appointment is for one year and is renewable for the second and third years with a stipend of $49,470 and includes weekend and holiday hours. The appointment starts on January 17, 2023, which may be negotiable.
