Position Summary: Maintain overall responsibility for the veterinary care and animal husbandry program of vertebrate animals at Florida Atlantic University. Provide direct and indirect consultation and support regarding the health and welfare of animals while ensuring compliance with USDA standards and the Animal Welfare Act, The Guide for the Care & Use of Laboratory Animals, NIH Public Health Service Policy (OLAW), FDA regulations, DEA Regulations, AAALAC guidelines, and state and county rules and regulations. Utilize demonstrated experience in animal research and display an understanding of research methodology, principles, and procedures.
