A Junior Laboratory Associate position is available to conduct experiments on central auditory system processing and perceptual skills in laboratory animals. The duties include colony maintenance, behavioral training, cranial surgery with cannula implantation, quantitative analysis of video and audio data, and generating figures and text for publication. The candidate will participate actively in developing and implementing new approved procedures, or modifying existing protocols and procedures. The position also calls for collaborating with lab members on different projects, contributing to the organization of the lab and providing support for various aspects of experimental research. The candidate should have a proven record of being able to communicate ideas, problems, suggestions, and messages in a timely and effective manner.
Bachelors degree in Neuroscience or a related field, training in handling laboratory animals, and experience with Python for data analysis.
